MAIA natural skincare oils and clay masks

The MAIA Guide to Natural Skincare: Oils, Masks & Rituals

Everything in the MAIA edit, organized by what it actually does for you.

MAIA's skincare edit is small on purpose — four clay masks and fifteen single-ingredient or botanical-blend oils, nothing synthetic, nothing you can't pronounce. That makes it easy to get overwhelmed in a different way: which oil actually does what you need, and which mask matches your skin rather than someone else's? This guide is the map. Everything below links to its own product, and to a deeper piece if you want to go further into that topic.

Two Ways to Care for Skin, Naturally

Oils are for daily, ongoing care — hydration, massage, hair and scalp treatment, and mood. Most of MAIA's oils double as body, face, and hair treatments depending on how you use them. Clay masks are for weekly reset — deeper cleansing, oil control, and gentle exfoliation that daily products aren't designed to do.

Building a Simple Ritual

  • Daily: a body oil after your shower while skin is still damp, so it seals in moisture rather than sitting on top.
  • 2–3x a week: a scalp oiling session with Revitalisation Hair Oil, left in for at least an hour before washing.
  • Weekly: a clay mask matched to your skin's current state — detox after a high-pollution week, oil control in humid weather, Rose Clay & Kaolin when skin feels reactive.
  • As needed: an aromatherapy oil (Lavender, Jasmine, Tranquil) for a slower evening, used as a massage oil rather than a treatment.

One rule that covers all of them: patch-test any new oil or mask on your inner arm 24 hours before using it on your face, especially with botanical infusions like turmeric or aloe.

Go Deeper

This guide is the hub for a full series on MAIA's skincare range. Over the coming weeks we'll be publishing dedicated guides on choosing a facial oil for your skin type, comparing all four clay masks side by side, the Ayurvedic story behind Sandalwood & Turmeric, building a proper hair-oiling ritual, why body oil beats lotion in Indian summers, at-home Abhyanga self-massage, and a full glossary of the botanical ingredients across the range. Check back on this page — each will be linked here as it goes live.
