Hi, I’m Vandy — a fashion designer by profession, and a conscious creator at heart.
I began my journey at NIFT, where I trained in fashion design. Straight out of college, I got placed in a leading export house and began designing for some of the biggest international brands. It was an exciting time, but also eye-opening — I saw firsthand the sheer scale of fabric waste, fast fashion, and unsustainable practices. It stayed with me.
Driven to explore fashion more meaningfully, I moved to London to pursue my Master’s at Central Saint Martins. After returning to Mumbai, I resumed working with global brands — but somewhere deep inside, I knew I wanted more than just a job.
When my daughter was born, everything shifted. That’s when I started ‘Mini Me’, my own brand in Mumbai. A few years later, we made a life-changing decision — to move back to Kochi. We wanted a slower, more intentional life close to our roots.
During the pandemic, I began creating pure cotton masks from leftover fabrics. The overwhelming response reignited my purpose. So I opened my store in my childhood home and named it House of Vandy — a space that brings together design, sustainability, and stories from across India.
Welcome to my world.
